Finally home and picked up my jeep

Well I arrived at the local airport on Thursday July 10th at approximatly 2:45, thanks to the great guys of the air force and a C-130. The reason for that is another story in itself. Had the obligatory welcome home ceremony and meeting with the big wigs. Then at 5:00 I took delivery of my new Jeep. Yesterday I put 100 miles on it. I could not be more happy with it. I was a little concerned after reading some of the comments on here about the new JK's. We had rain yesterday and 0 leaks so far, the motor and tranny work great. I can see right now that my spending has only just begun. I have already done my first mod. I bought the little round concave mirrors to go on the vents so when the doors are off today I will have a small leg to stand on in the local police pull me over. Thanks to all the people here that have answered questions and shared there ideas and tricks. This is what makes this such a great site.

So get out there and hunt and fish and mess around with your friends, ramble out yonder and explore the forests, encounter the grizz, climb the mountains, bag the peaks, run the rivers, breath deep of that yet sweet and lucid air, sit quietly for a while and contemplate the precious stillness, that lovely mysterious and awesome space. Enjoy yourselves, keep your brain in your head and your head firmly attached to the body, the body active and alive, and I promise you this one sweet victory over our enemies, over those desk-bound people with their hearts in a safe deposit box and their eyes hypnotized by desk calculators. I promise you this: you will out live the bastards."

I remember you from a while ago asking about if the soft top was safe sitting under the hard top. Congrats on finally making it home! My GF's brother is in the marines and he also came home on the 10th (from cali) I am sure if you do get pulled over you wont have any trouble.

Good luck and Thank You!
