Not worth the money IMO. Take your money and invest it...if you don't need it work work, you have a pot o' gold.

I guess it depends on your own status, can you ? do you work on your own vehicles? Today's vehicles there is just so much computer & electronic stuff involved. I guess it also maters how long you plan on keeping the Jeep and how much you plan on using it. For me the $2050 it cost for a unlimited lifetime warranty it made sense, esp with an automatic trans. When the transmission goes, notice I said when not if, it will be replaced for free up to 100,000 miles of a 100 deductible after i hit 100,000 miles.

When I was 25 I would never have the extended warranty because I liked laying on my back under my CJ5. 40 years later .....not so much :-)

Its not the trans you should worry about...

Replaced my motor at 58000 miles

That's an inexpensive 100k mile warranty. No brainer if you marry your cars, and even more so if they do a prorated refund like many of them do

Do a search for "extended warranty" on the forum and you will get a lot of threads.

No jeep avatar, no vendor membership, not even a paid supporting member of a forum that directly drives a substantial portion of Jeep's business.

Are you not an official representative of Jeep, or does Jeep not actually care?

You really expect Chrysler to pay for any of that? You really are ridiculous.

To pay for their own customer service account? Uh, yeah...every other person representing a company on this website has to, and since the new ownership took over, it went from pricy to REALLY expensive.

That means you expect JF to press the issue. But do you expect Jeep to actually PAY? Or are we just getting lucky enough that someone from Jeep is willing to help us out without going through all the usual hoops and maybe we shouldn't be making a big deal about it lest that opportunity go away. If JF pushes to get money, Jeepcares will either go away or do this on his own time (which he is probably already doing).

I don't think Jeep has any intention of paying another website that uses their copyrighted name in its URL, frankly.

My only point is this...

If I were one of the vendors that paid the $600 ish entry fee and $65-100 per month (can't recall exact numbers off the top of my head, but substantially higher than the former $35 monthly) vendor fee, I'd be pissed to see another company reping themselves for free.

Any guy can go make a free account and say he's representing the Chrysler group. Were I Chrysler, I'd want to be perfectly clear about who is and who is not a true representation of my company.
