The stock specs, like the one in the YJ forum. It helps when in the wrangler general discusion when someone askes which wrangler to get.

Axles, gears, tire size, motor, tranny, t-case, gearing, for each model and year.

How about owners manual. I know this should be pretty common sense for some people but yet the questions have been asked. How about it Jim?

There is a direct link to the download on page 2.
I don't think we need to print it.

It would be nice if we could print the service manual but that would be illegal.

needs something telling people what tire sizes will fit the stock rims. i see that question asked a lot but it doesn't appear to be in the faq.

(i mean other than "you can fit 32,33,35's", i'm talking about 255/75/15 that sort of thing so that guys actually know what the hell to look for on tire rack lol)

Agreed - to determine the exact tire width at which a spacer/wheel with less backspacing is necessary would be a big help - does anyone know?

11.3" needs 1/4", 11.7" needs 1/2", 12.5" needs 1.5", etc.

Build threads added, I will go through the rest of this thread and add the suggestions when I have more time.
I need to do it carefully so as not to delete the whole damned thing like I did the last time
And I'll stash a new copy away just in case!
Well, Guess what I did over the weekend
Ya' I deleted a major portion of the links section
I didn't know it happened until I got a PM from krutj asking where it went!
I keep a copy at the very end of the original F.A.Q. that is linked on the first pages of the new one.
If it ever happens again you can find it there.
All of your suggested links have been added and I marked the post's in this thread by adding an "X" to your post.
Thanks for all the suggestions and please keep them coming!
Please take a look as I separated the "build threads" and put them in larger print. Should I change the print on the rest of the links as well?

We can start that one. I think I might start it after this post...

Yeah, there's one out there somewhere, but it died a quick death.

I saw mentioned in a thread by krutj that we need some axle vent re-location ideas, anyone have a link? I know there were some threads in the past!
Why relocate them? Just extend them and hook them into the vent tube that connects the engine to the air box. Add a snorkel and then they're extended all the way to the top of the snorkel!

Eh, just use a 1.5" spacer on any wheel that needs pushed out. The goal for effective backspacing is 3.75"-4.5" (4.75" at the absolute max).

Off Road Heros soft top can be added to the JK top options list

This is a good write-up on install/removal, step-by-step as well as a great suggestion originally made by HITMONEY

http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f96/o...ll-4dr-779158/

and this one as fair warning to ORHs shipping/manufacturing procedures...or lack thereof

more variations of the "will it rub?" setups. With so many combinations of back spacing, body lifts, and suspension lifts I think there needs to be more input there. Thanks.

Good suggestion
The "will it rub" that is currently in the F.A.Q. was originally written in 2007. There have been many combinations since then that have been proven to work as well as others proven not to.
I will open a new thread so we can gather the info to edit the "will it rub" section to more accurately reflect the facts.
I'll post a link here as soon as I get it started.
Edit; here is the link to the revision thread http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f96/w...-eyes-1260136/

DIY Rhino line options. This thread was not a JK but I did the instal on my GFs TJ last year it is an easy DIY job. I will make my own thread on it for my JKUR when I get home from deployment. It is a great option vs the $800 for Rhino LIne or Line-X.
