I'm just a volunteer on J/F and my job is to delegate jobs to other volunteers, please let me do my job

How about a JK Newbies, Introduction section (Designated Flame Free Zone)... Introductions, Welcomes, Newbie Q&A. If someone posts a pic of their new pride and joy, If you can't say something nice, don't say anything.

How many first time Jeep owners find JF on Google, post their first question about: (Will it fit, Chrome Tube Steps, 20"+ wheels, WalMart lights, etc) and they get an honest (sometimes helpful, sometimes not) but not necessarily tactful reply, to downright rude reply: That's junk, waste of money, etc... and they never come back.

Jim - here is my explanation of an aftermarket audio install with factory infinity and retaining factory head unit. It's not a play-by-play, as I honestly do not believe that the inexperienced should try and tackle this...or they end up in the situation I was, and it was not pretty but it gives the overall concept and purpose, for the more electrically inclined to tackle, as well as a parts list for the inexperienced to take to the pros, without having to buy all the stuff the installer might try to up sell.

Flame free zone? All of Jeep forum is supposed to be "flame free"!
If you see flamming in JK tech. just let me know and I'll put out the fire!

I truely believe the the first timers that feel the need to go elsewhere to find the answers, soon find out that they started in the right place! (they do come back)

JeepForum is the best and most welcoming Jeep information site in the World!

Very true...look what it does when I tell Jim to **** off and learn to be an *** hole instead of such a nice guy...

If I ***** on the other sites, no asterisks to protect the family-oriented browsers

Edit: P.S. Jim, you don't have to **** off, or hit me with the ban stick for that matter

Very nice example Mike
This is one of the only places where the kids can watch without the parents being in fear of them seeing posts by people like molshove!
And, we will help you spend your money though we aren't trying to sell you anything.

Now let's get back the the F.A.Q.

What might be a nice community project is:

Tire Maker Wall of Shame

Advertised tire size versus Actual size when mounted

probably insane because different wheel widths can affect the actual height as well.

looking directly at my 34.25 inch bfg 35!x12.5r17 km2s

I know when I was looking at buying my JK last month I tried to find a thread about what comes standard on JK's and couldn't. I wanted to know if all JK's have rear dana 44, what skids are standard, which have 4:10's etc. I never did find a link or thread on here.

I did a write up on an ARB front bumper, its not perfect but it may help someone as I covered taking the stock bumper off, which ARBS dont.
Heres the link:http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f96/a...te-up-1164731/

I think perhaps linking to the bumper pictures thread and wheels pictures threads may not be a bad idea either.
