ETC issues

ETC light keeps returning almost every day. No problems up until a month ago. Had the spark plugs changed, light started coming on. The light is not the flashing ETC with rough idle and diminished performance. It is just on.

Shut her down, start it up light comes back on. The light varies when it will come back on. I could drive almost a day and it not come on or it could come on a minute after startup.

Used an OBDII scanner at advanced, no codes showing.

Any thing to try?

I would clean throttle body with Bg throttle body cleaner first. I have had nothing but the best results with the stuff.

OK, I will give that a shot. I assume spray down throttle throat while idleing?

It is a two man job one person to spray and one to keep motor running. Don't spray so much to kill the motor though. Will have to disconnect tube from throttle body, put spray nozzle in to spray, and hold tube up to throttle body so it won't suck in to much air.

That was my next question, I have used throttle cleaner before but typically stall it as now it is a one man show!

Get a real scanner on it, it may be throwing P21** codes that the generic OBD II scanner isn't picking up.
