ESP off?

Hey guys,

My wife has a '10 liberty. I'm looking into a wrangler when it gets the pentastar( still saving money, since my car is paid off).

I want to know if the esp off button on the wrangler works like the liberty. On the liberty you can hit esp off, but unless your in 4 lo it wont fully disengage. It seems to leave TC on, and turns off the Stability portion. It wont even fully turn off in 4high. I personally find it really annoying.

I'd hope this is something that i would have to worry about, since the wrangler is more "off roading". Can some one please fill me in on this.

Thanks.

Works just like you described as on the Liberty. There is a complicated procedure to turn if off fully, that requires turning the steering lock to lock multiple times, etc that is listed elsewhere on the site.

Here's a recent thread on the subject > http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f96/death-donut-1152575/
I'll try and gather some more info and add it to the F.A.Q.
I'll post my findings here in the next day or two

It's not that complicated. http://www.jpmagazine.com/techarticl...tem/index.html

I jacked the front end of mine up so it was super easy to turn the wheel.

thanks guys for the replies. This makes me a lot more content with the purchase of a wrangler. It REALLY bothers me in the wife's liberty.

I admit, it's not that complicated, but then I remember some folks here throwing a fit about the complicated dance and song required to turn off the oil change light.
