esp issue after lift

just did a 4 inch to the 2011 jk. the steering wheel is off centre and the esp is kicking in and making it difficult to drive. I have researched and saw that it may be activating due to the steering wheel off centre. I have it booked in for wheels, tires and alignment wednesday. the traction light went on after 5 minutes of driving and the system shut off which i was ok with but just as i was driving home from the store the system reactivated itself and now its difficult to drive again. How do i shut off the system in the mean time on the 2011?

You have to center the streering wheel on a JK before you drive it after you lift it. The instuctions should have told you this. The esp will not go off until this is done. All you need is a 15mm socket and a few mins of your time to fix this yourself. You don't have to wait till the alignment is done to fix this problem.

Takes a little trail and error if your alone. Since you put a 4" lift on turn the adjuster on the drag link a few rotations then test drive. If still not strait repeat as needded.

Just turn the esp off for real. it is a pain in the butt. much better turned off and you wont have to worry about the steering if it goes off while wheeling or anything.
