engine light after stall

Soooooo I'm pretty upset about it, but last night I completely forgot that I put my brand new 2016 rubi in gear when I parked it, and when I went to leave where I was, I stalled the thing pretty bad while the parking brake was engaged. Afterwards, the engine light came on... It only has 1200km on it, so I'm wondering if anybody else has had this issue and what the eventual problem was.

I checked underneath and everything seems to be in place, and it drives fine. I'm just hoping its not a super bad issue.

My guess would be the stalling incident and the CEL are unrelated and merely coincidence.

For he's just the U.S. Government's hired man.

Stop by an auto parts store and have them read the code. At least here in the lower 48 most auto parts stores will do it for free.

What Would Scooby Do?

You should still be able to do the key dance on a 2016. Get in, close door, key in and to "ON" then "OFF," "ON," OFF," "ON," "OFF," then "ON" and leave it there... The odometer will spit out the code...
