Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) Warning Light is on

Does anyone know anything about this? Over the past couple of weeks, sometimes it will come on, sometimes it won't. It doesn't really run bad when it is on, except right when I start driving down the alley, its a little weak but after that I never feel anything else. I would like to get this fix before this weekend so any help is appreciated. Oh, and it is on a 07 JK.

Someone on another forum told me to check the evap can, but I didn't see anything wrong with it.

Theres a note ref it/info in the owners manual, I'd think of getting a scan of your ECM if you suspect a problem, it'll store a soft code ther for a while if the light has come on...

I have a 2010 4door Sahara with auto and I had my ETC light come on too. The fix, at least according the dealer, was a faulty PCV Valve, some hose, and another module. I have the codes and actual parts they replaced if you'd like for reference.

I have the same issue on my 2010 except it renders it not drivable since it's a stick shift. They've replaced some wiring, the accelerator and the throttle control. I just had it towed for the 3rd time with 600 miles on it. I hope it's not a lemon.

Who knows?

My uncle has a 2007 JK and has never had 1 issue.

Everyone else I know has issues but I figured I would give it a shot and hope for the best.

My friend Jimmy had his lemon lawed due to a leak in the back.
Jimmy's friend is trading his in due to a leak in the front.
My other friend Carlos had his lemon lawed due to the soft top leaking in the front. He in turn got another one and was hit by another driver and his 2nd jeep was totalled.
Another guy I know has a leak in the back and just deals with it. (I know a lot of leaks right?)

Mine is the only one I know out of my friends with mechanical issues but enough is enough already. I just hope they fix it but in the back of my mind I'm always going to worry about it now. I drove it 600 miles before it reoccurred the 2nd time and another 10 miles before the 3rd time.

Even if it WAS a lemon, there's nothing else out there that's quite like a Wrangler. Bummer.

Mine eventually just went off and hasn't came back on yet (knock on wood).
