Dumb seat question?

I just got my 07 wrangler "X" on 12/9/06, do the passenger seats not fold and lift like the previuos years, it seems impossible to get in the back seat. I have looked, and had the dealer look with no resolution. Anyone?

According to the Jeep website, the rear passenger seats still fold and tumble and I know that the front seats flip forward but it's still bloody awkward to get in the back.

It is a poor design in my opinion. The seatbelt stretches across so anyone going in the back has to crawl under or over the belt.

That is, I have to admit, the only thing I don't like about the JK. But, I don't sit in the back, so I don't care that much.

It is a crappy design. My hope is that DC would listen to some of the dealers issues (customer complaints/disatisfactions) and maybe change some things in future years models. I know this is not a reality, it's just a thought.

I would be nice if this feature was still there... but I'm pretty sure it has to do with the new airbag sensors that are part of the passenger seat.

they do listen. that's how you got the softer factory ride, more ground clearance, heavier duty axles...so on and so forth in the JK.
as a matter of fact, they are watching you right now. put your pants back on. wierdo.

back to the topic, just hurl your passengers over the top.

Was the seat able to touch the windsheild in the TJs? I ask because they might have had a glass breakage problem. I used to have an old '83 Dodge Ramcharger in college. The passenger seat would lift up, and the headrest would go against the windsheild. Had to replace windsheild 3 times due to my drunk friends

Thanks, I thought I was just stupid. Oh well, once it warms up they can just crawl over the side.
