Does the new head fix the Penstar?

I have a 12 and drivers side head has been ticking since new. I had dealer check it out several times but said was normal. Over the weekend the jeep started running very rough and CEL came on. I have 24k miles on it. Took to dealer and cylinder 6 misfire and they ordered a new head. To anyone who had this repair, does it fix it? I know the 12 has a 100k powertrain warranty but I don't want to deal with this issue for the next several years. Thanks in advance for any input.
