Did trek top chang your MPG

Just wondering if anyone with a hardtop changed over to a bestop trek top had an increase in better MPG due to lighter weight.

Thanks

Joe

I haven't notice any change going in between soft and hard tops.

I could see that , coasting in neutral going downhill drafting a tractor trailer with a tailwind. With a unicorn in the backseat.

Were this the case, Chrysler would have a different [higher] EPA rating for the soft top model and apply this in order to help their CAFE [Corporate Average Fuel Economy rating].

For most cases, how you drive is more important than a difference of tens of pounds.

if that was true...... But it is not, the standard is the sport with 3:21 gears. The rubicon with 4:10 has the same exact epa in BIG print.

Were they away with this is the FINE print. were the window sticker says, 17 city;below that it also states 14-17. Were it states 21mpg in fine print just under that it states 17-21.

our Rubi new stock auto with the optional 4:10 at beast was about 19 ish. today with all that has been done and now almost 25K it gets at best 18 with 35"s and 4 inch lift. city can be from 14-17 depending on driver and how much idle time it gets.

Didn't check for a MPG increase, but noticed a bit more power with seat of the pants dyno.

Hard to find around these parts with all the EPA regulations and animal rights activists.

Otherwise I only get 11mpg... but that's 11mpg while rolling over a continuous line of eco/ego-friendly "Prii" (plural of Prius, apparently).
