I always thought they were pretty close in color but after parking next to my friends they aren't even close.

Bought mine the first week of March now have just under 6K miles on it. We drove it to Florida (around 2K, round trip) 2 weeks after buying it & was really impressed on the drive. My first Jeep & the whole family is very happy with it. Replaced a 2004 Mazda6s Hatch 5spd (that I loved...but had lots of issues once it hit 80K miles).

2012 Sport S, Hardtop, 6spd...stock except for Mopar Fuel door (thanks to the great How-to thread), grab handles in the rear & sill plates all around.

Since buying it I have painted the bumper appliques to match the body, powder coated the rims semi black with a deep cherry red lip, added the Oscar Mike distressed star on the hood and bought a distressed star tire cover. I removed the chrome Jeep and replaced it with a black one. I also plastidipped the door locks and the antennae in black. Inside I painted the HVAC rings, grab handle and door inserts to match the body color.

Where'd you get the tire cover?

Also, thanks for the interior pic, I've been toying with that idea for months but wasn't sure how it would look. I think I may go through with it.

I bought the tire cover already painted from Amazon. The cheapest I found anywhere by about $25 bucks.

The paint I used for the bumper appliques, rings, grab handle and door inserts was Dupli-Color Perfect Match BGM0509 Deep Cherry Metallic

Here is another shot of the inside. Very cheap mod that really gives the interior a little extra pop in my opinion without overkill.
