Dead Spot in Electronic Throttle?

I've driven a few vehicles with electronic throttle. It seems that the first 1/8 to 1/4 of the electronic throttle doesn't work. It does change in 4lo.

I do know that it changes the electronic throttle response for 4lo and 2hi, but should there be a dead spot?

AND does anyone else notice that the engine doesn't slow down when upshifting? It usually takes 3-4 seconds for it to slow down when shifting from 1 and usually around 2 in any other gear.

The cool thing is when I drive the f350 I keep spinning the tires from a stop because it doesn't have a dead spot haha.

My 07 Sahara does the same thing. Try hitting the button to turn off the overdrive. Made all the difference in mine.

It's a 6 speed. Here's something else I noticed while driving it. The dead spot goes away when moving.

I have noticed this as well. In fact the first few days driving it in town, I almost stalled it. I just feather the throttle a little bit now to work the RPM's up some before i start engaging the clutch.

Yes, there is no response in my auto when I feather the throttle while under way. I'm not a big fan of fly by wire.

Mine has a dead spot - that seems to go from 0 to 80mph. Probably goes on past 80 too, but I've never tried it.

Mine does the same thing. I don't know what to do about it at all.

Well glad it's not just this wrangler. Is it possible that Chrysler did it on purpose?

I'm the only one that really has a problem with it in the family so it's not a big concern really.

Same thing here with the dead spot and 6speed. I came to the JK from a TJ straight 6 where you just let the clutch fly and it moved. I did stall the engine on the JK a few times before I retrained myself on shifting with this different engine. I have to slight rev the engine from a dead stop. No problems when vehicle is in motion. This has got to be a program bug with the wire throttle. Maybe there is something that can be flashed to offer a fix.

I have seen on other Jeep sites they are having the same problem! Someone needs to forward this to Jeep!
