Dash Mounted Power Outlets

From the Owners Manual, it appears both of theses are only on when the Jeep is on. On some other vehicles it is possible to move a fuse in the fuse box to change how the power outlet functions. Any way to make one always on?

The way I read it, one is always on, the other is on only when the Jeep is. I did some experimentation and found this to be true. But I don't remember which is which. I think the one on the right is the always on one, but I can't swear to it.

Yes, that's correct. the one on the right is always on. the drivers side shuts off with the ignition.

On mine the left one is on with the ignition. The right is suppose to be on all the time. Except non of my power adapters will work in it. The dealer said he would look into it next time I brought it in.

The left one is perfect for a radar detector. On/off with the ignition. Why on earth do we not have one in the back??????

Maybe a record but certainly a proof that the search function works.

My 07: Right is always hot, Left is only on when key is in acc or run.
Did you actually try them?

The left front power outlet (fuse M6) is hot when the key is in the ACC and RUN positions.

The right front power outlet (fuse M36) is hot all the time.

The only outlet that is selectable ACC or BATT is the optional outlet in the back, (fuse M7).
