Custom Spare Tire Covers

I after looking through the same old selection of covers on various web sites,
I was unable to find a design I liked that would fit my stock tires.
(P255/75R17)
Has anyone ordered a custom cover from http://sparetirecovers.com ?
Thought I should ask around before investing over $200 for a cover that may or may not look satisfactory.
If you have ordered from them, what pixel size do you recomend for the grafix?

thanks in advance

Got mine custom made here.
www.tire-covers.com
Had to add $ for getting a 35" custom, but turned out great!
I just sent him the picture of what I wanted, and he screened it on.

That design would look bad arse glowing in the dark, or if a backlight could be installed inside the spare.

Make your own

Why not do it yourself? Super easy if you've got a vinyl graphic or decal outfit around that can fab something for you. Got mine from a great guy online after we chatted. Tire cover was about 20 bucks and the graphic was 35. Takes all of five minutes to transfer the graphic.

Most the reason for the high price is the materials it's made of.

The cover has a hard, clear coated faceplate and fabric sides.
Seems like a long wait for it to be delivered. 7 days production, 7 days to ship.

Great thread. I am getting my first Jeep this Thursday and I found this forum on the internet looking for ways to get a custom tire cover. I took your advice and found a place to custom cut a vinyl logo for me, but he claims that a vinyl decal will not work on a soft cover. In your picture it looks like you have a soft tire cover on your Jeep. Can you please tell me a bit more about your experience?

Thank you.

Well, I can't speak for the setup I have right now, but I will tell you that I had a similar arrangement on the YJ I just sold. It was a simple black cover similar to the one I've got now. I'm guessing it's vinyl as well, or some other related petrochemical by-product, who knows for certain. Anyway, I placed a Jeep logo vinyl cut on that cover over three years ago and it has withstood the elements so well that no loose spots could be found by the new owner. He really liked it because it was nothing he'd seen anywhere else and I liked its durability enough to go ahead and do it again. I appreciate what your guy told you but my experience suggests otherwise. Just be sure to take it slow and easy while you peel it off and press down evenly. The better the seal, the more durable the results. Good luck to you!

sounds similar to what i was thinking, basically you stuck a decal like one that would go on a back window on a plain black cover?
