wouldn't you want a pistol carrier nearer to the drivers seat? i was thinking of converting a plastic hi jack carrier for my 22. and i have a slot between the seats for the machete and would want a pistol holder maybe at the front side of the seat between my knees.
.22 for food
machete for brush
9mm for bad guys

Yeah yeah... I know. I had to unload it after taking it out of my patrol car... after the photo I had to reload it. I guess I could lie and tell you I left it open so you could see the pretty nickel plating.

I'm a priest. Just kidding... that would be mighty hard to hide under the robe. I'm a cop in the 2nd most violent city in the country (per capita). It is a load of fun - midnight foot patrols to sneak up on drug dealers. In a city of 20,000 people, we average each week: a shooting, multiple stabbings, a dozen robberies, too many burglaries and grand theft autos to count. If you are white and drive through the town, do not stop. The chances are you will be dragged out of your car, beaten, robbed and carjacked. It's a very nice place.

What scope is that on the .223? I've got a killer red-dot on mine, but I'd really like to go a different route.

The sight is just a red dot sight... I believe the brand is "Tacpoint"... it's a store brand version of an Aimpoint...

.223??? Oh no!!!

That's a colt M-4 labeled to be chambered for 5.56... (The only difference I know between the two is 5.56 is military reference and .223 is civilian reference to the same caliber round).. I bought it right after the sunset so it has an LEO only stamp... It's one of 300 Heavy barrel M-4's that S.A.W. ordered in anticipation of the ban sunset. It came with a certificate of authenticity and the works... Within days of me placing the order, Colt on their own accord went on an LEO Letterhead only policy... I'm not sure if that is still in effect or not though...

Normally a 5.56 will shoot in a .223 but a .223 will not shoot in a 5.56. The 5.56 has tighter tolerances.

.223's have gone through it just fine... Never had a single jam with it, even with reload casings...

Wow-- cool info. I had no idea. I'm a handgun fanatic, who only bought an AR so I would have something fun to shoot along with my buddies on our camping trips. I know next to nothing about long guns.

Crappy phone shot of my bushy.
