Crimped the plastic on my front bumper... Any way to mold back?

Hello everyone,

I just barely nicked one of my other cars when I was parking last night. The other car sustained no damage at all except a minor scratch, but the plastic bumper on my Wrangler sustained a decent "dent". Is there anyway for me to mold this back into place? I might just have to go get a new metal bumper that won't bend so easily...

Thanks in advance,

Buy a new bumper from Craigslist. You can probably find one for free.

Takes less than an hour in your driveway. Remember - measure twice - cut once!! ;-)

Thanks for the suggestions. Is the stubby bumper kit pretty easy to setup? I may live with the dent for a little while and then get this put on. Does anyone have any experience with the Smittybilt SRC front bumper? I have the SRC rock rails and I've been very pleased with them.

Leave it like it is. There will be more dents and dings if you are using it right!

Got two in my garage. You can have one if you come and get it.

Or you can do what I did. Remove plastic and crush cans, patch holes, remount lights, done.

Did you have a bad experience with Smittybuilt? I'm curious because I really like the look of the SRC series.

i have no bad experiences, but there products really aren't that great at all... you get what you pay for. some people get there stuff and like it though. also who wants to support a jeep company that has most of its parts not made in the U.S.A.? i will say that some of there products are made in U.S.A. so the smittybilt people will not attack me.

I read a tip in JP where a guy was saying that you can drill a hole in the underside and blow it up with compressed air to pop the dents out. Interested to see if it works.
