Creaking hardtop..without freedom panels on

Lately been hearing sounds from the top and I looked up what it could be, read that it's mainly been the freedom tops making the noise. Pulled the freedom tops off today in hopes the creaking sound would go away, but it's still there. Sounds like it's coming from the roll bar area on the driver side..anyone else have this problem? Any ideas how to get it to stop? It's very annoying.

Yes, out of curiosity...how tight should all the bolts be tightened?

When the two front panels are removed I have the creaking sound, so the two bolts for the sound bar aren't in place. It sounds like it's coming from the drivers side where the speakers are in the sound bar. Is there anything over there that it could be rubbing on that you know of?

Don't forget the T30 TORX bolts that hold the hardtop to the tub and the (4) 10mm bolts that secure the soundbar to the roll cage !

Good luck

What do you use to keep the weather stripping from drying out? Any treatment for that?

Wanted to update...LFrider66 was right. Never would've guessed that the sound bar bolts would've caused the sound I was hearing but the creaking is gone. Thank you! New it had to be that after I still heard the creaking when the whole top was off
