Corbeau Seat Install In My 2012 Rubi (and wiring the seat as the factory was)

My seats came yesterday but I couldnt do any thing with them. Wrong brackets!! They will be here hopefully by next weeks end!.

But I did start the rip out Friday night to see where and what all the wires were doing under there!!

First the seat belt chime wire. Thats an easy one because Im using the factory setup. (Corbeau said there are provisions on the brackets).
The trickey one is the airbag sensor. I followed the wire and found this buried in the seat foam.

When flexed it pins the needle on my meter meaning its basically an on and off switch. This is not a problem either.

Started the red and black theme also!! Will post more when the brackets come in!!

Can you please tell me what precautions you took when removing the seat due to airbags?

Ok brackets came and it was install time. Undid all the wiring from the original seats such as the passenger airbag occupancy sensor and this one I found on the drivers side. Not sure what it does but I mounted it in the same position I removed it from.

Brackets fit good. A little fudging but not bad at all. All the holes and bolts were there for the factory seat belts also! Nice!

Tucked and tywrapped all the wires, then installed the seats.

Looks good right? Until you look under the seat. I had to do something about the exposed bracket look. So i decided to use the factory plastic pieces from the original seats! Its amazing what ty-wraps and a glue gun can do. Acouple of drill holes and heres the finished product.

Overall the are very very comfortable!! They are a little harder to get into due to the side bolsters but im getting use to it. I do wish they could go back a bit farther but I can live with that also. I would definetly do it again!

Very nice and it came out looking great.

By the way, did your Jeep come with those seat bracket side covers? Mine didnít but I see a few holes that are probably there to snap a cover too.

Thanks 1222, I appreciate it!! And yes it came with covers. It was screwed and snapped into place on the OEM seats.

I was looking at the Corbeau seat acouple nights ago. Which model did you get. I would think buying something like seats with sitting in one would make me nervous lol

Good Job man! I just did the same install on my 2012 Wrangler sport. How did you disable the side airbags on the seats?
