Converting a Fuel Door to a Locking Fuel Door

I have a 2012 Altitude which comes standard with a black Mopar Fuel Door.

I was wondering if there are any kits out there that will allow one to easily convert that fuel door to a locking fuel door?

I opted for a locking gas cap because I figured with all the muck, snow and ice, chances are better for the lock on a door to get jammed up. A locking cap on the other hand would be protected by the door.

I went to stealer ship and got one for $20 that locks. Gas cap that is. I just hope I can get that off in a blizzard lol. Maybe a set up with a fuel door and locking cap is best.

If someone wants they can just pry the fuel door open. Cap is a little harder I think.

And you'll save a few bucks

You're better off just getting a locking gas cap. There have been complaints that the Rugged Ridge locking fuel door doesn't hold up. I would leave the Mopar fuel door and go for the locking cap. I've had mine on with the Mopar locking cap since 10 with no problems.
