Cockpit storage space????

Seems like JK's are lacking basic storage space in the driver and passenger area -
anyone seen any cool ideas for aftermarket storage space for the cockpit??

Thule has some interesting things Like a thing that goes down the side of the passenger seat with a couple of pockets for phone ipod that kinda thing
http://www.thuleracks.com/thule/prod...id=15&sku=7032

Pics there suck but it hugs the seat and has three pockets

They also have a thing that goes between the console and passenger seat same kinda deal

Hope this helps

I saw at Target yesterday that they had a cool little neoprene covered semi hard trash can that would easily velcro the back of the console. it looked like those big dome top style trashcans with the spring lid. I remember when I had the top off the TJ, if trash wasn't stowed away, it would become a cyclone inside until it finally flew out (bad bad enviro-etiquette!) It was $10 tho, couldn't make up my mind. but it would stay out of the way, and take care of clutter.

The glove box is huge compared to the 06 and the center console is good size also. Are you looking for storage or a place for your phone camera etc?

I was thinking the same thing. I had a subwoofer in my TJ's center console, that sucked. Counter that with the relatively huge center console in my JK. Seems like plenty of room. My wife did hang a trash bag holder thing from the 'oh sh%t' bar. Guess that is extra...

There is the floor storage thing behind the back seat. I also saddlebags on quadratecs website. The saddlebags they showed looked like crap though and obscures half of the window.

If its just for your cell phone or ipod and you can give up one of your cup holders something like this might work. These things are everywhere.

I kinda miss the littel storage thing on top of the dash on the TJ, but the glove box and center console are much bigger - I guess it's a trade off. I think Jeep should throw in a few more nooks and crannies for storage on future models.

Radio space

You could always change your radio to a single DIN and install a kit that would have a bin underneath or ontop of where you install the radio. There is a lot of space in that center bezel.

Yeah - that's just cool. Looks like I'll have to get at least one of those.
