Christmas Present

I bought myself a Christmas Present Thursday, a 2007 Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. Rescue Green, soft top. I'm really enjoying it and my wife is too. This will complement my collection of a 1970 Jeepster Commando, 1990 YJ, and 2002 Jeep Liberty.

I did the same thing! Made the deal on Friday...FlameRed X with the S package, Hartop and all the goodies. My dealer found basically Exactly what I was prepared to order and wait for.....He's going to get it on Tuesday..

Scottyc, I'm curious what size, brand, etc of tires you are planning on upgrading to? Also, did you get the hardtop?

I'm curious what size, brand, etc of tires I'm planning on upgrading to, as well. I don't have a clue. I'll probably wear through this first set before I upgrade. Buying the Jeep hit my pocketbook pretty hard.

I went with soft top only.

Sweet, that's what mine will look like if I ever get it

Well, except it'll be black, which obviously will look better

.. for the 30 seconds before it gets dirty

Edit: Oh hey, what sidesteps are those? They're not the regular factory ones are they? They look much better than the plastic factory ones.

They're the Black Satin ones shown in the accessory section of the brochure. Nice powdercoated alminum....The one option I wanted that was not on the JK they found for me. Ordered through the parts Dept.....About $270 I believe, though they threw these in....Took about 30 minutes to intall....

Aha, so they're these things then?

http://www.jeepsareus.com/Merchant2/...tegory_Code=7W

I was going off the manufacturer's website, I didn't realise there were a ton of aftermarket parts that weren't already options

I believe so, the factory sidesteps are the plastic covered tube things that are stock on the Sahara, I don't like the looks of them at all so I specifically didn't order them.

At the moment I'll fit either the same side steps you got which look pretty nice or go for the rock rails;

http://www.jeepsareus.com/Merchant2/...tegory_Code=7W

Just because they offer a bit more protection than the side steps alone (I'm clumsy )

Yours is definitely a nice looking machine mine's currently sitting in BG waiting for something to show up
