I got to drive this thing on Friday at Winter on the Rocks. They let me take it out on I-15 and at one point I had it up to 90mph going up hill with lots of power left over. This was with 35 inch tires and 4:10 gears.

As Ferris would say "It is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up."

I see my JKU getting a 6.2 here in a couple of months

x2.

I debating on a 5.3 or 6.2 myself. Curious how the 6.2 is for you.

I know i can put a nv4500 with the 5.3, If it mates with the 6.2 id go that route, or else it could be a deal breaker

I was just stating theres probly an adaoter Plate for it. But remember a stock 12v isnt that powerful. The new v6 diesel that might go in the jk has more

I highly doubt that. maybe stock to stock on charts but the 12 valve can be made into a bullet proof tank and with be able to make way more power than any v6 diesel. No engine they put into a jeep will ever surpass it unfortunately. There is a reason that the 12 valve only came on super heavy 3/4 ton and up frames .. It is the most reliable diesel engine ever made ( more bullet proof than the 24 valve) Ive driven alot of 12 valves and they can be tanks. and they certainely can destroy a half ton frame.

as much as i love the idea of a 12 valve in a JK. It just isnt worth the trouble unless you have a 3/4 chassis at mininum

Aswell. a 1993 nv4500 will mate to a newer LS motor aswell.
