Those are the factory Rubicon Sliders. They come with the Rubi. Yes, I like them except for one part and that is that in some places little gravel type socks tend to get wedged between them and the body. Other than that, I think they’re great.

Best solution for the rock problem is to attach a layer of thick weather stripping to the rail.

I had bookmarked this thread forever ago and I'm glad I did. The 35x12.50 Discovery STT's I put on the Jeep yesterday were considerably larger than the worn 315/75R17 Baja MTZs I took off.

Anyway, very helpful. Thanks again for the info and pics.

2003 Patriot Blue Wrangler SE - RCX 2.5" Kit on 31x10.5 Firestone M/Ts and stock the rest of the way.
2007 Flame Red Wrangler Unlimited X - Skyjacker 4" Kit on 35x12.5 Cooper Discovery STT(

Out of curiosity, at what height lift with 35's is this not needed? I plan on a 3.5" lift, do I need to do this as well?

The only sure way of knowing is to test it out similarly like I did. It doesn’t matter what you flex on just be sure to do it in steps so if it is going to hit you’ll catch it before it does.

You're gonna love them, had them on my YJ, great tire.

Air 'em way down on rocks though...ran mine at 10-15psi year 'round, depending on conditions.(rubber compound seems a little harder than some MT's)

Definitely cut down on the time it took me to do the trimming
