Changes for 2009 Wrangler...

First of all, Rescue Green and Steel Blue Metallic are going away. Their replacements are Sunburst Orange and Deep Water Blue.

Hill Start Assist- Standard on all models
Trailer Sway Control is now included with the Trailer Tow Group
Power group now standard on Sahara

Most of the other changes are pretty minor:

Larger sun visor
New center dome lamp with switchable directional lighting
Drop in bin added to center console
Storage nets on center stack and side of center console
Rear tow hook is now compatible with the receiver
Subwoofer no longer an option on the X model
No more option for Rear Locker/Sway Bar disco on 2TC X model

I bet the Deep Water Blue would look pretty good on the JK. Though I am still leaning towards Red Rock Pearl.

I'm hoping it can simply replace the ones in my '07.

And I'm interested in seeing if the new passenger seat mounting can be retro-fitted to the '07.

Did they say anything about wind whistle and water leaks? I'd hate to see 09 owners not get all the features we have.

But....but...but so may people on here SWORE that their dealer told them there would be diesel!! Surely these dealers could not have lied to these wonderful people......

I want orange too. But not enough to trade in (:

I thought the power group was already standard on Sahara? Has anyone seen a Sahara without it?

What the hell is "hill start assist" ??

I wonder if the trailer sway thingie can be added to an 07, and whether or not it increases the tow rating.

Is the subwoofer no longer an option on the X - meaning it is standard, or no longer an option meaning you can't get it at all?

My JK will someday be looked at as the "bare bones" Sahara with no power & 17" wheels...funny stuff.

What's that hill-start assist?

Isn't that when you pop the clutch when going downhill to start....I guess now it must be a option.

I bet it will be some sort of clutch brake holding thingy for starting out on a hill.

My brother has a smart car (yes I know, but the car is not mine) and it has the Hill Start Assist (HSA) what it does is hold the brake for about a second or so while you let up off the brake and onto the gas.

Is it really needed to have Trailer Sway Control? I mean, Wranglers can't pull much... I never had sway on anything yet. Haven't tried my popup camper yet.

Hill start assist.. don't need it, got 6 spd :P

Wonder what the new center dome looks like, cuz '07 has a crappy one.. and the storage bins sounds good.

Guess it's time to trade in the '07

Yea right, I love my Jeep more anything else! I couldn't take the pressure to drive away from it another vehicle, not after the fun mud times we had.. the top-less days in the lightning storm... oh and we pulled a Toyota Tundra 4x4 out of a pot hole.. yes a pot hole..

I'll get a 2030 Jeep when my '07 dies

Rescue Green

Our ugly green JKs are gonna remain somewhat few and far between. NICE!

I thought Hill Start Assist was for the manual transmission where it wouldn't drift backwards while starting on a hill......

"Drop in bin added to center console"

I dont know why they didnt do this to begin with. Seems kind of like some wasted space, or space not better utilized.
