change oil light

so my jeep has been having a change oil light come on lately.

I just changed the oil last week though. Does the light come on automatically at a certain amount of miles or does it come on when there is low oil or something.

I would check my manual but I left it at home

Yes it does....Turn the key to the on position but do not start it and push the skinney pedal to the floor 3 times then turn the ignition off and start it the light should be out.

What year did this oil change light come on the JK?

Cool. I was about to search for this as well. I've done it once before but forgot how. That light and beeping annoy the heck out of me, but apparently not enough to look for the answer sooner.
