I have my cobra 19 mounted between the door and the steering column just above the front speaker, mic hangs on a hole in the pillar trim

I replaced my factory double DIN for a single DIN stereo and CB. So I have both in the dash.

I have the Uniden 510. I also have a 1" body lift so it allowed me to mount it right in front of the gear shift (manual) . Without a body lift this isnt possible.

Perfect spot IMO as its easy to reach , see, and hear the speaker. Wires are outta sight 100%.

Ill post a picture later.

If you buy a slim CB like Uniden 520XL, you can place it between console and passenger seat. No drilling.

I mounted Diesel External Speaker at the bottom of radio console area.

Here's a couple pictures. Second includes my switches. Of course the top three holes were drilled before realizing that there isn't much room behind for switches.
