I have my cobra 19 mounted between the door and the steering column just above the front speaker, mic hangs on a hole in the pillar trim

I replaced my factory double DIN for a single DIN stereo and CB. So I have both in the dash.

I have the Uniden 510. I also have a 1" body lift so it allowed me to mount it right in front of the gear shift (manual) . Without a body lift this isnt possible.

Perfect spot IMO as its easy to reach , see, and hear the speaker. Wires are outta sight 100%.

If you buy a slim CB like Uniden 520XL, you can place it between console and passenger seat. No drilling.

I mounted Diesel External Speaker at the bottom of radio console area.

Here's a couple pictures. Second includes my switches. Of course the top three holes were drilled before realizing that there isn't much room behind for switches.

That's the one I've got. Quick and easy CB setup. Have not been able to tune it perfecty yet.

Gear shifter is in 1st gear in these pics. Used two drwall screws per side bracket.
