Camping "IN" your JK?

Has anyone camped in their JK? I have a friend who sleeps in his Yukon but obviously that's a bit of a bigger vehicle. For a quick over night trip I have considered doing this but didn't know how uncomfortable it would be.

I slept in the back of my JK once. I was on a business trip to PA and I had to come back to MA and drive back to PA and I was on the NJ pike and was falling asleep so I slept in it for a couple hours. I'm 6'2. I know I used to be able to tie hammock in my xj. Going to try and do it in my JK.

I've "camped" many times in my JK (4 door). I got an Army cot or you can use a Wal-mart or other retailer's fold up cot. It will fit perfectly and is very comfortable. You can only fit one though. Cannot do 2 side-by-side.

Current Jeep:
2007 JK Wrangler Unlimited (Black), 4" SuperliftRanchoExpress Lift, 36" Super Swamper Irok's covering 16" ProComp's, AFE CAI, FlowMaster 40 Series, Shrockworks Rock Sliders, Rock Hard line of undercarriage skids, Warn Powerplant, Shrockworks Mid-width front bumper, Dana 44 Front

Yes, have the unlimited and I'm 6'1" - plenty of room; slept diagonally. Was going to sleep out in the open, but tons of bears where I camp, so had no choice. Wish the back seats would go completely flat, but not a big deal and not even noticeable if you have more padding to lay on.

As long as you got something to fill the awkward gap the seats make when they fold down it definitely beats sleeping in the dirt.

And the rear cross bar works good as grab bar for when.... ahhh, nvm.

I slept in the passengers seat when I went camping. It was a painful morning needless to say. And wbower, you're def light. But if you have the skills you can manage in the front seat too

yep.

I am 6'4" and I have slept plenty while camping in my JK. It's actually awesome. I have an inflatable twin air mattress which fits perfect in the back w/ seats folded down. I still have to sleep somewhat diagonally but it's great.

I am a true tent/dirt camper too who has thought that if it wasn't a tent that you hiked in yourself, it was cheating.
Now, I just drive my jeep to a kickass spot on the river to flyfish or a logging road up on the mountain & voila! I am there. Nice and dry, comfy air mattress. Totally love it.

I am getting old

hence, why I bought a Tent-Trailer PuP for the family (which is pulled by the Jeep too).

I'm 6'2" and slept in my 2dr. Diagonal with my feet on the front seat. It was fine.
