Bumpers!!!!

I can't decide which bumper to get. I have the black Jeep and am deciding between the two bumpers in the other pictures, also of I get the one with the stinger, I'm not sure whether to get the sides on it or just get it as a stubby... Any opinions?

I've always been a fan of the stubbies.

Personally I am not a fan of stingers so I would go with the one on the blue jeep. Also I like how high it sits to the fenders, not so big of a gap as the other one. I have the ARB.

Previous Jeeps: 84 CJ7 (A True Jeep), 2000 XJ (163,000 Miles/Totaled (Pictures of wrecked Jeep in gallery)), 2004 WJ (parting out die to major electrical issues)

If you don't have time to do it right the first time, how do you have time to do it over.

I started with a bull bar from JCR - changed directions and moved to a stinger
from LoD.

I'm just a little biased.

That being said if I had a two door, I would opt for the stubby with stinger look.

Can someone tell me the point of the stinger?

Why does it stick so far out & up.
Obviosuly there's an advantage in some peoples eyes, I just can't figure it.

For most Jeeps you'll see in here, there is no purpose, other than looking cool

Textbook, this is the purpose:

Edit: actually the second video doesn't appear to make contact with the stinger...that driver was a dummy though, his foot in the brake is what was sending him *** over end

I would assume its to stop the jeep from crushing an expensive winch/bumper and create a buffer zone to save the front end. I like the look and I also like stubby bumpers. I want the smittybilt xrc and add a light bar instead o stinger

Yeah that's not the point of a stinger at all, that's what a bull bar is for. A proper stinger stops forward roll.

Most stingers are poorly engineered. The purpose is to fold back and take out the hood and radiator support in a minor wreck.

Just ask ArticRubi about how strong his stinger bar was against a tree. I look at them as a way to nudge the slow-poke in front of you. They certainly will NOT stop a roll over.
