wow, so I can go get mine fixed and fill up like a normal human being without having to play it like the oil fill up guy and wait and listen for the whistle and hope i get it right, or else a half gallon of gas goes spilling all over my paint, fenders, bumper and the concrete at the gas station.

Not if your gas tank skid plate is as banged up as mine. Dealer confirmed that a gas tank replacement was authorized for my '07 JKU, so I dropped it off. They called shortly after I got home and said they couldn't get the gas tank skid plate off due to damage. They also said that if I wanted to remove the skid plate they would replace the gas tank. With over 100,000 miles and plenty of trail damage, I decided not to bother.

edit: 14-001-11 is superceded by 14-003-12:

I wish I hadn't had mine fixed. I have to fill mine up sooooooo slow now. If I don't it cuts off every 3 seconds. Probably take at least 3-4 times as long to fill up. Not a big deal except when it 110 with 80% humidity outside.

I had mine fixed and can fill it up full throttle with no problems. There must be something still wrong with yours. I'd take it back and have them check it out.

Just had my 08 JK serviced at the dealer. I had them look into this extended warranty because my JK has this spit back issue. Not sure how they check this problem but they told me my check valve was and covered under this warranty. Changed it free of charge and told me if I had any problems to let them know. I haven't tried it as of yet but hope that it is fixed.

Had mine done Monday. Picked it up Tuesday, tried to fill up this morning (Wednesday) and it wouldn't take a drop. Tried two gas stations and my 2 gallon can for my lawn mower and nothing would allow gas to go into the tank. Luckily had enough gas to get back to the dealer, where it was found they had installed it backwards. They tested it to make sure this time. I'll find out tomorrow if all the headache actually fixed the spillage issues.
