Bubbles on the hinges

I noticed on the passenger door hinge that it had bubbles. For the people that took it in for warranty work what did the dealership say? My warranty runs out in 10 days and want to get it taken care of.

They should repaint them for you... it will probably last around 11 days!

I'm thinking about removing them and painting them with the rust proof paint I got from magnet paints with my monstaliner. That way it wont be a problem again...

every dealer is different. just go in an ask them... they should paint them. BUT it will happen again, seems like the popular thing to do is paint them with a rinoliner type, or "rust proof" liner or paint.

Since the doors are painted with the hinges already on, won't removing them to paint them crack the paint sealing them together, meaning you have to repaint the door around that area? Eventually I would like to rhinoline my hinges, but I'm afraid of that paint "seal" cracking and being visible afterward.

Is there an easy fix for this?

Took it wo the dealer and he said he is going to warranty it. He took pictures and is sending them to the body shop, is going to get back to me later today or Monday to get it done. He does want to get it done ASAP because my warranty runs out July 31st. If it happens again I'll rinoline it or something.

Make a yearly/quarterly trip to your dealer or do it yourself

Had mine - also passenger side done twice under warranty. Seemed to be OK after the second time. If they go again I'll go the bed liner route.

Seems to have been a certain batch. At one stage plenty of people seem to have reported the issue. Just bad prep in the paint shop I guess.

Mine look like they are developing tumors.

And today after getting fed up with how hard the doors were to open I decided to remove the doors to grease us the hinges. It took me almost 1.5 hours per door just to get them off. And this was grueling lifting and wiggling them back and forth effort. I have bruises down my arms from pulling so hard on the doors...

There is a service bulletin coming out to dealers before the end of the month.
