Broken Plastic piece around stick shift

That cheap looking black plastic bezel piece is pulling up around my gear shift causing the rubber boot to pull out. It looks like the plastic clips or whatever holds it are broken.

I found this one but it is $70 and alluminum. I have not seen anyone who sells the black ones yet. Havent checked the dealer since Im sure its way over priced.

Had mine replaced on waranty but when it happens again I`ll go with the billet one.

Mopar= $20 from dealer. Whole clamp and boot.
I broke mine getting the boot off to swap out the console. The "bezel" is just a clamp for the base of the boot (can't be seperated), and slides/clicks into the forward console.
My PROBLEM is the rubber boot being stiff, and popping the stick out of 1st and 3rd.

i got my warrantied. I even broke it myself trying to mess with the radio. they should cover it as long as you are under your miles

i have 37000 miles. I thought the warranty was up at 30000. Either way, i just bought one since it was only $26

3yr/ 36,000mi minimum mandated by law IIRC.

the dealer broke mine trying to fix my clutch,they replaced it of course, but they are flismy and cheap

How about this, I had the same problem and just drilled through the existing plastic molded screws and put in new chrome finished ones from a local hardware store.




Hard to tell in these pics because of the flash, but it actually turned out really nice and shiny in person!

I did the same thing but used black screws. Then, I added additional weatherstripping under the trim to reduce road noise from the transmission.
