Bright silver metallic mall crawler

Maybe nobody cares, but I'm starting myself a build thread. If only for my own enjoyment of watching my jeep grow.

Day 1
Jeep is kinda sad looking with tiny tires and stock wheels. Immediately purchased entry guards and new Quadratec front floor mats.

Next, added 16x8 blackrocks with 285/75R16 Goodyear duratracs. Aided the appearance a ton just adding new shoes.

Couldn't stand it any longer. Rolled out the dough for the Teraflex 2.5in. Spring and shocks lift. Rides great and am super happy with it do far. I have also recently added the Tuffy security enclosure in the rear as well as a smittybilt molle deal on the tail gate. Will try to snap photos of that later.

Things to be done next: quick discos, regear to 4.56, seat covers, sliders and eventually bumpers. Hopefully I'll soon have time to hit some trails as well.

Got to test it out in the snow with a couple buddies.

Looking good, man! I started in the same boat!
Here's mine at week 2, with 2 axles buried in frozen clay. New winch that night, needed a new bumper for the winch, and it hasn't stopped since :-I

She's been good to me, though. I spend more than I can realistically afford, but isn't that what love is about

I'm with ya there. Every time I buy something for it I think "eh that's a little too much, oh well I'll make it work!".

Love the duratracs. Had them on my Cherokee and they did great in the snow and are good on the road as well.

What made you decide on 4.56 gears?

He is only running 33s. No really need for a lower gear ratio but your are right in the case that if he goes to a bigger tire size he is going to want to do another regear.

I chose that based on the chart. I'm gonna stick with the "33s" for quite some time. 4.56 showed as being in the starting area of "performance". So I figured that would be outstanding for the hills on our local highways. Any further input on this would be great as I'm fairly ignorant on the subject.
