Story:
Had an '89 YJ that I was planning on building up but then my wife and I had our 2nd child and decided the YJ was just a little to small, luckily the JKs had just come out and the 2 doors had just enough more space not to have to make the jump up to 4 door. I have nothing against the 4 doors but personally prefer the size and more classic look of the 2 doors. I would have liked a Rubicon but it was just out of our price range so I bought an 2 door X with the freedom top, but I did spring for the "Rubi-Lite" package: 4:10 gearing, 32 spline Rear Dana 44 w/electric locker, electic swaybar disconnect. To make the 2 door a little more family friendly my first mod was to add the safari rack, not easy to start drilling holes into a 2 week old Jeep. The last mod I did was add some front springs off a 4 door Rubicon to get my lift back, after a couple of year with the extra weight of the bumper and winch my stock springs were really sagging. The Jeep is my dailly driver but the boys and I regularly take it up to Rausch Creek Off-Road Park to play on the rocks.

Story
My build thread has been around for a while so going into the story of my rig would probably bore a few of you to tears. I didn't start with a steaming pile and turn it into a beauty like gunkel, I started with a brand new JK, drove it home from the train station, and built the rig just how I wanted it. Not too exciting a story. I was probably a little too anal on a few little details here and there, but I'll have it until I pass it to my oldest son in 15-20 years so I wanted it to be right. Thanks for checking out my rig.

Mods: Smittybuilt full width rear bumper, D-Rings, Mopar Brake Light Guards, Jeep Mopar Fuel Filler, Full set of Quadratec mud mats, BlackRock 17 x 8 Wheels, Wrapped with 255/80R17 KM2 to give it more of a Willy's Look(Skinny Tires). Willys White Decals applied myself.

Story: First time ever to Land Between the Lakes and met up with some exceptional nice people from Itsajeep.org. They actually guided me around the park since I have never been there and its so big. With a lot of excitement for the day we had a vehicle roll and TJ get pretty stuck, and some awesome three wheeling shots of our JK(Taken by my wife). After the ride I had a noise coming from the left front shock(Stock), and come to find out my jeep was built on a either a Friday or a Monday as the rubber ring that is suppose to sit between the top side of the shock tower and the washer that holds the shock was actually just sat on top and thus the guys that day helped me finish what the factory was suppose to. So really my 07 JK was just completely built just a few months ago...
