My brand spankin' new 07 Unlimited with Pics

So... we didn't really intend on buying it, we just wanted to look and see what they are like in person. But as it turned out we really couldn't help ourselves. Fair warning: if you have the means to go buy one don't go "just looking" because you will end up driving it home once you see how kick a** they are!

We went and looked at it Tuesday, but decided to shop around for rates to try to beat Chrysler's A-tier 8.97% for 72 months. Our credit union was able to do it for about 1.25% cheaper. We picked this up from the dealer last night (9/13).

According to the dealer, we are the first people in Cincinnati to have one. Their dealership got two, and two other dealerships each got one a piece. So we are the proud owners of the only (not for long) 4-door Wrangler in Cincinnati!

So what did we get?

2007 Wrangler Unlimited X 4x4
Steel Blue

Cruise control
Temp and compass
16" Aluminum Rims
Fog lamps
Tow hooks
Dual Top Group
Power windows
Power locks
Keyless entry
Security Alarm
Automatic Trans
4.10 axle
Trac-Lok
7 Speaker Infinity sound system with sub
AM/FM/Sirius radio with DVD/MP3 player

Sticker price?
$28,235

What did we pay?
$27,635

The dealer didn't want to come off of the price ANY, and even had it listed $1500 over sticker... I was pleased with what we were able to get.

This is our ninth Jeep (not all at once)...

93 Wrangler Sahara (sold)
80 CJ-7 (sold)
86 CJ-7 (sold to brother-in-law)
79 CJ-5 (sold to father-in-law)
93 Wrangler Hard top (sold to a friend)
94 Grand Cherokee (sold)
64 CJ-5 (sold to another friend)
97 Wrangler (sold to father-in-law)
*07 Wrangler Unlimited*

The 97 was our last one... sold about 16 months ago, sadly. We had to sell it to buy a new Mustang, but after 16 long months we have a Jeep again, and luckily it is the coolest one of all!

These pictures were taken shortly after I had gone through the 2.5 hour task of removing the hard top and installing the soft top

I tried to trade them in actually, but the dealer said "no way!"

The are little s#*t machines but they love a good Jeep ride!

Referencing the second pic:

That would be Olive, Dot, and Jaws.

They are currently anxiously awaiting their mom to come home so we can go for a ride!

The hard top was 8 screws and a neighbor...

The soft top is a little more complicated.

I would say with my leet top assembly/disassembly abilities I could put up a TJ top in about 4 minutes... this is probably double that. Before, if we wanted, we could leave the windows in when putting down the TJs top, but with this that really isn't an option. All 3 windows have to be zipped out, and then taking the soft top down is a chore.

It has to be folded just the right way, (took me 3 tries) but with 2 people it would be a lot easier. Instead of 1 main bar stretching the width of the Jeep as on the TJs, this has two bars, which make it a tad cumbersome for one person, and the need for correct folding.

Congrats. The soft top seems to fold really flat - I was a bit worried about that for the Unlimited since it is so large.

Congrats

those might be the best pictures of the JK in blue I have seen yet. I have been leaning towards Jeep Green or Silver (only added silver after seeing Wayoflife's pics) but now I might be back to considering blue again.

Very nice.

Congrats. I can't wait to get one. As far as the hard top goes, you mentioned it was 8 screws. Do you mean bolts?

Congrats. That is one sharp Jeep. I'm still having a tough time with the 4 doors.
