Big Wide Tires

I have a 2007 4dr rubi, I am looking to do a 4.5" rubicon express long arm suspension lift. You can run 37 12.50's but what would it take to run 37 15 or 15.50's? Since this is a wide tire would I need to upgrade steering, axle shafts, anything need beefed up?? Thanks guys

The Rubi should be able to handle it ..

Which tires are in your sites?

Nitto mud grappler's looks like they may only come in 13.50's though... the funny thing is I was playing in a little mud on flat ground while doing a kind of donut and my power steer pump shaft that the pulley is connected to snapped and pulled out of the pump. That's what kind of worries me. It was warranty but still

Out of all the power steering problems that I have seen (or heard), I never heard of a pump blowing itself up - unless something got tossed into the mix. Is it possible that a stick or a rock could have been kicked into the power steering pump area?

If it wasn't that - then - could have just been a bad pump from the factory.

I'm pretty sure it was a bad pump from the factory. So will it run 13.50's or 15.0's without problem or would you even recommend it?

Hasn't someone put 37's that are wider than 12.50s on their rig?

I got a freind with 37x13.5 and so far the axles have held up. He also is not a hard gas pedal guy. I think thats a big part of it, how you wheel. The D44 might hold X size tire with the light skinny guy, shafts or the spider gears might break with the heavy gas guy...

Tires that wide (15.50) are pretty far outside the envelope. I'd really want to talk to some shops that have done that before going there myself. The pump is probably ok but I'd also worry about the rest of the steering system.
