The worst offense: Tim has been emailed numerous times about the issue and ZERO response. Once money is in hand, caring appears to go out the window.
The windshield header just doesn't fit right causing the plastic attached to the front piece of the top itself to crack. I just spend another $50-something (plus I still need to pickup the tool to put snaps on, plus the snaps themselves) to see if I can get it to work with the Bestop Windshield channel. Hopefully this works, or I find another suitable fix. Otherwise by February or March I'll need a new top.
Not only does the windshield header bar not fit properly (and instructions absolutely suck), one of the metal pieces was bent to the point you had to slam the door to get it to close. I had to bend that one back by hand. And no, this time, it wasn't mishandled by UPS or whoever it was that delivered it. The box was in perfect shape.
Spent another $50 or so on a Bestop tailgate bar in hopes to deal with the velcro that likes to peal off the body before releasing from the top. Others have done the same with other ORH tops so I'm thinking it should be ok... Hopefully the goo will come off without too much fighting.
It also droops front and back pretty bad and holds quite a bit of water. I've had several convertibles over the years (American, British and Italian) and they've NEVER been this bad. Prepare to get a small buckets worth of water dumped on you after a rain regardless of which door you open. Assuming the windshield bar and tailgate bar work (will find out soon they showed up today), I'm going to start looking into how to address this... probably a couple of those bars that go across the rollbar to prop the top up which will probably make it look like cr@p.
