The only time mine is installed is for a little extra ballast during bad winter weather - same as when I had my '06

Mine was out for over a year. Then I moved to a smaller apartment and haven't been able to find a place to tuck it away.

I like the look with that tool box. How is that secured down? Do you have a link for the site? Thanks!

I is held down with to adjustable clamps(forgot what you call them). It takes maybe 3 mins to remove and put back in and 2 mins. of that is removing the heavy stuff inside so it is lighter!

I used the to rear floor tie downs on each side and attach them to the handle bolts. I also would use the cardboard box it comes in to cut a template of the bottom to get you two holes on each side for where the seat attach brackets come through and the trace on bottom of box and cut them out. It is held down very secure.

Best part is you do not have to drill any hole in the body!

When the seat is folded, how do you secure it from flopping back when you accelerate?

Just use a bungee or ratchet strap.

I pulled my seat out completely after I bought it. Hasn't been back in since.

Took mine out a bit after I got it, put it back in to take friends wheelin, was in for a month and is now back in the garage.

No point in having it when I'm 99% of the time alone in the Jeep

Mine has been out for months. I like all the extra space. Have ACE engineering basket on the way to install back there.

Took mine out shortly after getting the Jeep. Love all the extra room for gear and such. Don't know if ill ever put it back in and that's a shame because it's reupholstered to vinyl.

i leave mine in permanently, but basically just to hold my supplies. I seatbelt my 2 containers in and fill the middle with the other items. Theres not really a time I dont have every fluid needed, all recovery gear, 2 tool boxes, air tool bag, spare shafts/parts and hi lift in my jeep.
