Anyone used Smittybilts soft top?

So I've given up on the trektop nx, on the second one, and again the plastic tabs bent at the rear of the safari top portion, the ones that fit into the alum bar across the back. So, flapping in the breeze unless bungled up. Top works fine all together but not as a safari as also intended. 4Wheel parts is taking it back so I'm considering options.

Rains not an issue from May to Nov in SB but is in the summer in Utah, monsoonal moisture and all. I'm considering a full soft too but not looking to spend 1300 and up. A basic vinyl top like Smittybilt sells is fine with me as long as it fits. With hardware it's comparably priced to the NX.

Anyone use this top and hardware to add a soft top to their JK? Any complaints? Smittybilts never my go to but with the bestop ones being double no thanks I'll go without. Appreciate any feedback.
