that and they didn't buff it. A friend of mine did a set of tail lights on a 350Z and he wetsanded between coats and then buffed the third coat out. He did no clear, but they had a nice shine to them

Sanding with very fine grit wet/dry sandpaper and soapy water. It's more of a polishing..

To use Nightshades and have it look finished/professional, the easiest way is to tint the inside of the lens, rather than the outside. Then you don't have to worry about chipping, and they have a factory look to them. Of course some lights are much easier than others to get apart to tint the insides...

well would that give the same effect with the yellow turn signal lenses, or should i buy the clear lenses with amber bulbs and tint those?

^^^^ x2 Buy tinted lenses, they come with amber bulbs... I bought mine from neondials on ebay. Like $55 shipped iirc. I tinted my tails with VHT..
