Anyone run a Muffler skid plate? A skid plate like the Kilby?

It seems easy enough to make, I have a sheet of 1/8" that is screaming to be used for something. From what I can tell it works with the factory bumper. For over $200 dollars a pop We are tempted to make our own. Thanks!
