Witnessed by hundreds at the New York Auto Show... That would have been tough to fake.

If that's true about the firehoses, then I'm sure they dialed down the pressure to an appropriate level.

He said the hoses could knock out windows and dent panels... they're really thick and the nozzle is metal you know? What are you talking about water pressure for?

so do power windows and side airbags mean you have to disconnect wires to take the doors off? and then what do you do with them? and i guess it still means pulling fuses but not only for the lights this time but for the airbag, and to think that i didnt want a TJ because it was "too modern"

There is some kind of wiring to the doors that has to be disconnected. I'm not sure exactly how that's going to work. I'm hoping Jeep has put something in there to disable the interior lights automatically when the doors are off...

As for the side airbags, they're seat mounted.

as far as DC releasing new wranglers to aftermarket companys,I'm sure the cad modules would be just as good with all the cnc, water jet tech available now a days, think about it all they need are measurements, style of the bumpers and tire/bumper carriers aren't going to change to much, maybe some softer edges and added space for lights, but not much else. aftermarket designs will still need to address the aproach angles ect. I think most of he items coming out will be modfied TJ technology, same thing happened to the YJ when the TJ came out. "tweaked" parts came out. with a body on frame it's all about mounting points!

Just unplug the wiring harness to the doors ZJ and XJ guys don't seem to have any problems with a little wire

Funny, I always thought that Hummer's design was taken from Jeeps, not the other way around.

What a truly stupid thing to ***** about in any case.

Probably like they do for the hardtop. Just pull a plug. There could also be simple contact circuits that work when the doors are closed. Either way, it's not rocket science.
