Those front flares are flat out ugly *** & ignorant looking! Looks like someone went to VatoZone and bolted on a part from some other truck. And by going to the V6....theyre not gaining much. Guess Chryslers itching to screw up a good thing again.

So does this new track width change the field of axle swap donors? Anything wider made available? The 8.8" which was already a tad narrow become too narrow?

Overall it looks cool, dislike the front fenders and front bumper(prob get broken in half on the first trail run). It also looks like an unlimited, it has that extra room behind the backseat, wonder if they will make something shorter like my TJ.

The more I look at it the more I see design que's taken from the Liberty and the more I dislike it. I think the interior is a GIANT step in the wrong direction. I really like the interior of the TJ but this new interior looks waaaay too carlike. I'm not sure about all this talk about ABS and stability control systems blah blah. Also, the grille drives me nuts... it's "cute" like the Liberty. Also, the giant plastic bumpers and flares all around are just wrong.

I'm still waiting for the soft-top pics and the 4-door!

Plain and very squared off.
Need to see one in person.
Looks like the windshield will not fold down.
Front skid is nice but will it hold up on a trail?
Doors don't look like they come off easy - mirrors don't either.
rear seats don't look like they leave much room behind them.

I don't know, it looks like a Jeep to me. Not terribly fond of the front fenders, but the rest looks pretty good to me. If I were in the market, I would want one!!

Well......They must have thought the Jeep needed an upgrade, and this certainly still has the Jeep look.
Glad to see the solid axles, removable roof (I heard rumors of a non-removable one!), Rubicon package, removable doors, and soft top still are either standard or available.
It's funny how most new "make overs" don't get immediate approval, but then sort of "grow" on you. Remember when the first Dodge Ram P/U came out in 93 or so with the "radical new styling", and now look, everyone has similar lines!
I'll bet one of these will look bad a** when it has a 5-6" lift and 35's under it, and no more flat fenders cause all you have to do is just take them off!
The thing I like is that even in stock form, it is readily identifiable as a Jeep.
I'd buy one, but I just bought one, so I'm not starting all over again!
Bill

i agree, i bet in a few months here everyone will be loving the new jeep. lets face it-the majority jeep drivers dont offroad it every week, so that new interior is gonna be real nice to have. my only complaints:
-front fenders are too much
-the hood has no accent lines at all, its plain flat
-i dont like that with the hard top on it doesnt reach over the windshield, it hides behind as if its wearing a toupee.
i expect no dissapointments- DC knows what it has to do, and if they cant: imagine what aftermarket can do!

A few more items are that the plastic fenders come off just like the doors still do, that the windshield still folds down, and there is an electrically actuated front antiswaybar disconnect system. The hardtop is also in several pieces so the front and sides can be taken off. Something about a Dana 44 axle in the rear being standard too but I'm less sure about that than the other new features. All in all, I think we can put the major fears like IFS behind us. It's a major remake like the TJ was of the YJ (which caused a MAJOR uproar but look at how the TJ has been accepted) so all in all, I think we still have a true Jeep Wrangler on our hands.

I believe the 44 is standard on the Rubicon, but the article mentioned the X and Sahara coming with the 35 stock
