AEV 2" Spacer Kit Issues-Front Brake Lines

1. Got the rear in ok, but now have some noises coming out from there when I go down bumps in reverse Hmm.

2. Front was another story. NOT fun at all. Still can't figure out how to remove the steel bracket that locates the brake and ABS lines on '10 and newer JK's. The AEV instructions say to remove this and then zip tie the lines to the shock. They show a picture with a vise-grips doing the job of folding the steel bracket back so the brake line can be removed. This is impossible. I tried with various pliers, crowbars, etc, and bent the piece only slightly, but not enuf to remove the brake line. Cutting it is not an option since the brake line would be damaged. Any ideas?

Yeah, that was a fun one. Start on one side with the vice grips while the thing is still bolted to the frame. Pull down hard (watch knuckles). It will pull (bend) the whole thing silver edge down towards the bracket. Re-grip if necessary and get on the corner. WATCH BRAKE LINE! Don't pinch. Start pulling down. If the vice grips slip, tighten up a bit and try again. As it spreads, move the vice grips inwards a bit until the whole lip spreads enough to get the line out. It took me a while, but it does work.
