advice on the Purejeep Stubby Bumper

I like the looks of this bumper on the front of the JK, but have some reservations about not having the protection of a full width bumper. Will this expose the front wheel to extra potential damage. For example, someone backing into it in a parking lot. Intead of a bent fender/bumper, it will have a bent axle and who knows what. Am I over reacting?

This is my daily driver, and the bumper will make no difference in my off road use. No rock climbing, I just hunt out of it, and it will see some mud.

People have been running stubby bumpers on CJs, YJs, & TJs for quite a long time... accidents do happen but I don't think this is a big problem.

Bumper or no bumper, if someone is gonna wreck your ride it's going to mess some things up. The trade off is that a low hanging full-width bumper limits your approach angle & can hang you up off-road.

for whatever it's worth, i am told that purejeep will be releasing a full width front bumper in the near future.
