4Wheel Parts Truck Fest...

Went to the 4Wheel Parts Truck Fest in Puyallup, WA on Saturday. They had a few 4 drs there with lifts, wheels, bumpers and winches. I talked with the Unichip vendor that was there. He says they ran the JK on the dyno with their PnP box and it made 20 more HP and TQ. I asked him how much for one and he gave me the price of $437. Since I had called around previous to this and was quoted $580 I decided to go ahead and order it for the price I was quoted. Don't know how long before it gets in. I am going to try and dyno before and after to see if it makes that much difference.

Also talked with JBA about headers for the new JK with 3.8 V6. He told me they are in developement at this time. He also said they do have a couple exhast systems for the JK. One with the muffler in the stock location and one with it relocated to under the middle driver side.

When the Unichip comes in and I get a chance to test it I will post more about it.

I also have a few pics I took with my camera phone and will post when I get the chance.

I cant wait for some headers that will be great. Now I just had my flowmaster welded in this weekend in the stock location. I have a 2door and I couldnt skeem-out any way that i could relocated that thing under the drivers side without moving some componts around (now with the four door I know that there are guys that have done this). My questions is if they guy mentioned that they had a way to relocated the muffler on a 2door or if it was just for the 4door??

Sorry redrom01. I didn't even think of asking about the 2drs. I know that you have problems with the fuel evap canister or what ever it is under there being in the way. Could be more than that but I have never looked under a 2dr before. I would imagine that because of that they would only have something for the stock location.

The 2 door belly area is pretty well used up with cramming the stuff that needs to be there up out of the way of rocks and stumps. But I'm not sure the stock location would be bad, and it may save a few twists in the exhaust anyway.

Jeff

Well I have the flowmaster welded up in the stock location currently and the thing is that I would like to get rid of the two major 90degree angles that exist by placing the muffler inline. I realize that this may not be easly done as I laid under the jeep for a long while trying to come up with an easy plan of a attack and desided that it would just be easyer to go with the stock location.
