4 weeks later...."d" status

Well called the dealer today. Friday was 4 weeks and I was told the jeep is in "D" status. Does this sound right 4 weeks into the order being placed? nd does anyon know typical time frames from d status to arrival or shipping at least?

I tried calling the number that i found in another thread, but it doesnt work???

Thanks for any info.

Ahh, the "D" status nightmare...

I went through this recently. 6 weeks into it I'm still in "D" status. It really sucked because I called Chrysler 3 times, and each time they said my Jeep had shipped. WAH??? The dealer showed me on the computer where it still had the "D" status attached to my order. So, the customer service reps where just BS-ing me. Gave me some spiel about only a dealer can give me the status, but assured me my Rubi had shipped.

I got pissed by week 7 and cancelled the order. Found a Rubicon in another state with everything I wanted minus the soft top. I'll buy one of those after market.

I never found out the real reason they were not building my Jeep. Good luck to you.

At this rate, they will most likely cancel your 2010 order and build you a 2011 in August.

FYI, another poster on here says they shutdown the line in June for a few months to re-tool for the new model year. Looks like you're in for a 2011 man!

a jedi craves not these things

Patience my fellow jeepers. The smell of your new jk will be so much sweeter after the long wait. I ordered mine March 3rd and it will be here Thursday or Friday. (about 8 weeks) D status means it is scheduled to be built, it should also have a VIN assigned. As VIN's are year sensitive it will be a 2010. I am not patient but mine was such an odd combo I decided instead of settleing I would wait and get exactly what I wanted.

On a side not I have gone through 3 builds of the jeep in my head as a drift off to sleep. I plow through the forums seeking other waiting souls. And I have been driving my trail rig to work each day as I sold my truck 2 months ago. I must go now, I need to order seat covers.

Dealer gave me the last 8 numbers of the vin. Something about the computer acting up and so on... (bullcrap)

They did give me an order number though so I assume that means its getting done very soon?
