You won't be able to tell the difference unless you look inside or crawl underneath.

I wonder if the 2wds will be much better on gas or if it will be just slightly better. I wouldn't mind having the 2wd for a daily driver, and leave the 4wd for the trails.

Too bad I was born with good looks instead of a lot of money. LOL!!!! (ok, maybe it wasn't that funny ).

Just buy a Rubi... there won't be any 2WD of them.

About the MPG thing? I bet the 2WD JK gets EXACTLY the same as the 4WD...

BAN HIM! Wanting a 2WD Jeep is treason or something really bad with dire consequences.

why would a 2wd jeep get better gas mileage?
the only reason i could think of cause it might be slightly lighter due to only 1 driveshaft?
cause in a 4wd jeep your not in 4wd all the time.....

I driveshaft, 1 transfercase, 2 axles, 1 pumpkin less weight. Plus youll have some fluid resistance in the gears.

That's what I was wondering. Why would you be in 4wd all the time?

you have to think about marketing... there's a lot of high school/college age girls (and some guys) that want the convertable jeep but NEVER put it in 4wd, let alone know how to. so DC can just sell them the convertable and they'll be just as happy look just as cool (to people who don't know any better) and get better fuel economy...
