25K miles and eating a quart and half of oil in between changes
WTF? that seems excessive to me. My Land Cruiser has 180K on it and doesnt leak or eat a drop. Is this still breaking itself in or is this normal?

That's not normal at all. I go 5k between changes and it doesn't move on the stick. You can have something as simple as a clogged PCV system or a dieing motor.

Folks will be along shortly to reassure you that it is not Jeep/Chryslers fault. If you have wheeled it, you deserve it for being hard on your vehicle but if you have only driven it on the highway, that is worse on it, so it should be expected.
That seems excessive to me, but I'm just an unhappy Jeeper, so take it for what it's worth.
Get some duck tape, lube it up and punch it in the nose. It's a jeep thing.

Not right at all! Contact your dealer and get it checked out.

Park it on flat pavement after driving it for 10 to 20 minutes. Then crawl under it to make sure it's leaking and not coming out your exhaust.

If it only has 25k it should still have warranty til 30k right? I'd drop it off and have them fix it.

Replace PCV value and switch to 5w30. Should slow it down if not stop it from using oil

Let it run low and it will. Lol Dump some comet cleaner on the top of the air filter and that should scuff the walls enough to get a qt every 1k miles.

I have one of the lifetime powertrain warranty Jeeps. They ran a consumption test and the tech told me 1qt every 1000miles is when they would replace it I have never seen any stock car use that much oil either. In my experience the PCV valve is often the cause. I swear you have to be burning more oil then gas for Chrysler to care!

I was having an issue with this, called the dealer and they told me that the PCV has been going around 15k miles on the newer JKs and to bring it in and they would check it out. I did - they did, PCV valve replaced under warranty.
